June 7 & 8, 200813 Years and Climbing!Take a Hike for Humanity is a regional fundraiser for local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Participants in this hike-a-thon hike up Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH, or at the Blue Hills Reserve in Milton, MA to raise funds for their Habitat for Humanity affiliate. The hike is about 3 miles on well-traveled trails over easy to moderate terrain.
The scenery from the mountain top is beautiful, and even more so when you are helping out a great cause. For those not up to hiking to the top of the mountain, alternative paths near the base of the mountain are available. All proceeds go to our next building project. For even more fun, form a team (up to ten members) to hike together. There is a silent auction each day where you can bid on items such as tents, hiking packs, restaurant gift certificates, sports event tickets, and movie tickets. |
